I did search first but it is not in the new database...

I know that this is a bug in NS but all of a sudden I am getting it every time I exit Messenger...I could not find anything about this particular problem except that it is a bug...but I think it is only supposed to be an *occasional problem...not every time I close the program.

I am running NS 4.78 and all of a suuden I am getting a lot of page faults and popups that say that Netscape has caused an error in etc. etc....

Pleeeeeze don't tell me that I have to reinstall NS.....Pleeeeeze, I am begging!

YOU HAVE TO REINSTALL! Just kidding

    Hi Dixie,

    Close Netscape:
    Delete the C:\Windows\nsreg.dat file
    Start Netscape
When asked to create a new Profile enter the same name as the existing Profile.

This should help with your GPF/IPF's.

The Netscape Error in RPCRT4.DLL is, as you stated, a bug. I get it too, and I have discovered that the only time it occurs is when I am reading Newsgroups, and shut down with Messenger and Newsgroups open. If I close Newsgroups, select Inbox, then close Messenger, the error doesn't occur.

    Ramona :D

Thanks, Ramona, she said as she heaved a mighty sigh of relief! :)
