    Hey Guys,

I know that I have seen how to do this someplace but for the life of me I can't find it. Here is the problem that I have.
In the control panel for WinXP I have two icons for Java plugins. The one that I want removed is for Sun Java plug-in 1.4.0_01. The only one that appears in Add/Remove is the updated version.

I am all but positive that I saw the solution on Sun's web site but since they have revamped since my last visit I can't find a thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Un install both versions in ADD/Remove and install latest version 1.4.2_07.

Can't uninstall what isn't there. 1.4.0_01 isn't on the add/remove list. There was something in the program that caused it not to uninstall the icon in the control panel. I am sure that you had to edit the registry but not sure what or where. I know it WAS on Sun's web site but I couldn't find it.

Found a solution!! After hours of searching I remembered that I could at least remove it from the control panel using Twek UI. When I went to do that it listed it as "plugin 140_01.cpl ". I went ahead and clicked to not list it on the control panel and then got the bright idea of doing a search to see where that file was, it was in C:\Windows\system32. I deleted the file and all is well.
