I,presently, have Firefox and Thunderbird installed plus Netscape 7.(which is my default browser at the moment) I use Netscape Messenger as my default mail program but also use Thunderbird for some mail also. I have recently noticed that when Firefox was opened , and when I decided to use the Thunderbird mail program, to compose an email. when I clicked on the Mail icon on the toolbar, if I clicked on the Compose Mail option, it will bring up my Outlook Express mail client, and if I click on the Read Mail option it will bring up my Netscape Messenger email client.

My question is this---How can I get the Thunderbird Email client to be the mail program to load when I am using the Firefox browser and click on the Compose or Read mail Options on the Mail icon in the Toolbar? I would like to be able to load the Thunderbird email program, from within Firefox, if possible, but I can't seem to find any settings for this and don't know how to make it do that. If anyone could show me the way, I'd appreciate it. TIA :)

If you want Thunderbird to be the Mail Client For Firefox, when you click on Read Mail or Read Message, you must make Thunderbird your default Mail program.

Thanks for your answer,Ramona. I had figured as much but hoped there was a tweak or etc. so that I could call it up in Firefox when I really wanted to use it from there. Think, I'll just use it independently for now and keep Messenger as the default.
