Hovering balloon disappears too quickly

When one hovers the mouse over an item (eg a post in this bbs) the first part of the item's text comes up which gives an opportunity to find out what it is about without actually opening it. The balloon only remains for a couple of seconds then closes. That's not long enough to read the text. Can the time be extended?

I'd like the text to remain until I move the mouse away.

 

I was pointed to the microsoft Powertoys tonight for a different issue. I downloaded TweakUI for XP and installed it. While looking through all the choices, I saw a setting that allows you to change the size of the target area for hovering with the mouse pointer and a choice to change the duration of the balloon help. I think this should do the trick.

Thanks, Shannum. I thought of Tweakui which I downloaded a while ago but never installed. I'll do it now and look through it for other tweaks too.
