I'm getting a Windows Error popup when I sign on to my computer to the effect of "Windows has encountered an error with WinHost something something something. "

Should I be concerned about this?

winhost.exe is a hijacker which means it will intermittently change your Internet Explorer settings / Desktop to the link of it’s author’s sponsors.

    LolaWeb.winhost manual removal:
    Delete registry values:
    Browse to the key:
    'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Run'
In the right pane, delete the value called 'Winhost', if it exists.

    Delete files:
    WINH.EXE, WINTT.EXE

Could not find a Winhost value in RegEdit. Where should I find the WINH.exe and WINTT.EXE files?

    Winhost.Exe Problem

I am running Windows 98 and have been scuppered in the last two days by this bugger of a virus.

It won't let me get to any internet sites at all, so I can't download anything. If I run Norton Anti-Virus it finds no viruses.
It seems to have deleted Zone Alarm from my startup and I can't start it manually.

If I try to delete the file from the computer it says, I can't because Windows is using it!

    Any advice please?????

    Cheers
