Explorer FREEZING on media files

Wierdest problem. Everytime I click on any type of media file of any size Explorer and/or My Computer locks up tighter than Fort Knox! Everytime I try it inadvertantly I have to Cntrl-Alt-Del to shutdwn Explorer. I can do a "Select All" just fine; it's just when I actually "touch" the file. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT?!

from the start=>run line?

 

You have probably installed a shell extension along the way. Use ShellExView to temporarily disable all non microsoft shell extensions, reboot, and see how your doing. You can then enable them in a process to determine which one is getting you.

 

Can you be more specific on how to "run" the ShellExView?

It STILL Freezes

I dwnloaded the util., but it still doesn't work. I disabled EVERYTHING, and it still freezes. I dunno what I'm doing wrong. I still can't even click on a media file without it freezing up.
