I have a WD 40 gig internal HD (C:\). I want to purchase another internal HD and COPY the contents (8gig) of the present drive to it.
    A. Do I need to get a WD 40 gig?
    B. I do not want to use a ghosting program. Can I copy the present, all system Win 98 SE, Programs & Data to the new HD?

My reason for this is I have a number of legacy programs that I want to keep and do not have all the original install disks since some go back to Win 3.1 or 95 and have been lost or misplaced in moving from state to state.

    Thank you

    Hello oldbear,

    No.

Not the OS/programs, for that you need a "ghosting program" - drive imaging. For the user data, a simple copy would suffice.
