dsl modem connection dropping out....

    my new dsl modem which is connected is to my linksys wireless router keeps dropping out. its a Gnet bb0061 and what should i look at to get this thing to work properly?

    First try running your adsl straight from the modem and bypass the wireless to find out if your problem is the wireless router/network or the adsl modem or even something like bad phone line quality, which is also a common cause of such things.

    First you have to eliminate the wireless router, as from my experience they are troublesome devices. I personally dislike wireless unless absolutely necessary. I find if you make it secure it is too slow, and if you make it fast someone next door can tap into your network. And it is susceptable to interference more than any other transport. And its slow unless you fork out up to 10x what a cabled solution costs including cabling in walls.

    Once you narrow it down to at least whether you are having a wireless problem or other problem then post back
