My Computer [the icon] not working

    when i click "my computer" icon....nothing happens

    system seems to work.........just cant get to any of my drives

    System is acting the same as the problem posted by little mary here http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=42246

    unchecking all in control panel using tweak still hangs system in a dr watson funk

    ANY IDEAS

    Click on the Start button, on Run, key in
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
    and click OK.

    Yup. If it asked for the CD then it found damaged or missing files that need replacing.

    Note that the My Computer icon is only a way to run windows explorer (explorer.exe). It is just set to show a certain view. If it isn't doing well, other things will be affected too.
