    what it is, ive been playing battlefield vietnam fine, then i went to play online, and as soon as i got into a game, after a couple of minutes it crashes.
    i was told it might be a over heating problem, so i took a peek in my event viewer, and there is a warning coming up pretty much all the time, since the,
    22/02/05 to date, saying:-
    source- nv event- 107

    And when i go to properties it says-
    silent running: rising temperature
    caused new fan speed=L1->Lo

    Any help would be brilliant, Thanks for your time.
    Jay.

    More information is needed.

    You will need to supply more information about your system. Please post the make and model of your motherboard. Also, please copy and paste the event from the event log. To do this, double click on the event in the event log. Then click on the icon that looks like two documents in the top right of the dialog box that opens up. This puts the event in the paste buffer so that you can paste it here.

    You could have a fan failing. Please make sure that all of your fans are working. Power supply fans die easily. So do CPU and graphic card fans.

    Some motherboards do not turn fans on unless they need them. My Intel board does this. As the system heats up, it turns fans on. All of my fans are lighted with blue LEDs, except the last one. The last one is red. When it turns on, I know that my system is HOT and that I need to be careful.

    The event is from your nVidia card.

    The event in the log is from your nVidia card. You may have checked already, but in case you missed it, please check the graphics card fan.

    What is the make and model of your graphics card? Are you overclocking it? If so, please bring it back to normal for now.

    Please check that you have the latest driver for your graphics card. The latest driver is version 66.93.

    Your motherboard supports two fans. One for the chassis, and one for the CPU. The power supply and the graphic card (GPU) each have their own. So you should have a total of four fans running. The motherboard manual says that the system will shut itself down if it gets too hot. But it mentions nothing about monitoring software. It supports overclocking too, so disable that for now if you are using it.

    You can download the latest BIOS and drivers for your motherboard. Please make sure that everything is up to date.

    What motherboard BIOS version do you have now?
