What format for external ide harddrive?

    Good idea, Tony. Not quite sure when I'll next have some time for this, but you're right: I do remember fighting with XP when it insisted on making the FAT drive a primary partition. I think I remember that I didn't get a chance to make my own choice on it, and it was my original intention to create a logical partition on it.

    I never thought of putting a SU disk and fdisking to create just extended and logical drives. Maybe I'll have another go at it. I do have to return it soon.
