Gladd8tor--Your first objective should be to not get the spyware on your PC in the first place. Some of the best ideas to achieve that is
    1) Use the Security features in IE
    2) Use IESpyAds to populate your Restricted Sites
    3) Use SpywareBlaster
    4) Practice safe surfing (don't go to questionable sites)
    5) Don't open email from sources you do not know, and certainly do not open attachments without scanning for viruses
    6) Get uptodate virus definitions regularly for your Antivirus program and make sure it is running at startup.
    7) Use a firewall
But if you do get spyware here are lots of ideas
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=37074
That reference will also tell you about where to get SpywareBlaster and IESpyAds. Most of the better programs are still free, although you might want to get a paid version of an Antivirus program.
The above is only a summary. If you have specific questions, post back.

Gladd8tor --I do not think there is any one program that can do it all. One of the reasons is that malware comes in several forms--viruses, worms, spyware, tracking cookies, trojans, etc. And some is very difficult to remove. If you can identify the malware and other tools have not helped, you can run a Search at www.Google.com for suggestions on how to manually remove. (probably add the word "remove ")
One program you have not mentioned is HiJackThis. It is not the easiest program to understand, so it is usually wise to seek help in interpreting its results.

CWShredder is in some ways a companion program to HJT. It should be used only if it is defined that you have a CoolWebSearch variant on your PC.
And as mentioned earlier, do look into the settings in Internet Explorer --IE Tools|Internet Options|Security (Custom Level) and Privacy tabs.
Another tool some people use is the HOSTS file (not Hosts.sam or Hosts.lm--just HOSTS). It prevents access to sites that are deliverers of spyware. See here
    http://www.accs-net.com/hosts/
You can create the list of files to be blocked yourself or there are several providers of lists to populate the HOSTS file for you, for example

Welshjim Thanks !! For all your input it much appreciated ... I have to agree with you totally that there isn't just one program , though Ii was curious as to what most like to use ? I have use HJT before and did exactly as you suggested for getting help with my log ... Security setting in IE is set at default ... Now this hosts file my spyblocker program does just that and its a really good program to have running , If you like you can have a look at this software URL ...
