Running Dell Dimension, WindowsXP+SP2, Word 3000 OE6 (that is what Dell sent. Is there a 4000?).
I prepare a number of USPS letters with my Word program. All works well. But would like to be able to put in name, address, etc., at start of letter on my stationery template, rather than type in. All my letters are individual...that is, not going out as a list or a mailing. So I can't use a mail merge routine, nor a listserve cause it is not e-mail.
Other than typing up on a Word document my correspondents addresses, one at a time, is there any simpler way? Would it be possible to get the OE address book to disgorge from its home or business tab for a particular person the name and address in usable form?
    Or what would you suggest?
    Thanks, tech challenged geezer

if you highlight a contact in OE, and do Edit copy, Go over to word and Edit->Paste Special and paste it as text.

Another option: In word 2003, Tools->Letters and Mailings -> Letter Wizard ->recipient info tab -> Hit the little address book button and then press ok. it will insert the mailing address and a salutation.
