I first got this error once while installing a Game, Doom 3 if it matters, on my new hardware. All the drivers and updates were installed. I was having trouble with that install anyway, so I reformatted and reinstalled windows. I then got the error again, but this time it was while installing service pack 2. I don't really think it has anything to do with the software I was installing, but rather a driver or piece of hardware. Every bit of the PC is brand new, except the hard drive. I did a full XP install, and used the full format option. I tried a chkdsk/r and it came out fine, no errors. I examined the dump of the error, and honestly have no idea what to look for to pinpoint the problem. It is not very frequent, because as we speak I am typing on the same computer. I was hoping that someone here will be able to help me. Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Mikeys2k5 - Welcome to the Board :)
Suggest you run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool for starters.

I have edited your thread title to catch the attention of those familiar with analysing these logs.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think it is the memory, I tested it with memtest86 and there are a lot of errors on it, so I will send it back and get a replacement. Right now I am using some old memory I had around, and my computer is very stable.

    Thanks again.
    Mike
