[Mcafee Firewall] Firewall [problems]

    After uninstalling Mcafee Firewall, using Win XP Add/Remove Programs, I lost my broadband connection (couldn' t renew the IP). I cleanned the registry, tried to use first Win XP and next Norton Firewall without success. Then I reinstalled Mcafee and the connection was up again. I feel lika a Mcafee hostage... Any idea on what has happened and what can I do?

    OldSailor--If it works, don't fix it. :)
    However, you should not be running more than one firewall at any time. So if McAfee's works, stick with it and delete/disable the others including Windows Firewall. (For the latter, Control Panel|Windows Firewall).
    Having said that, you seem unhappy using McAfee's Firewall. Any reason?
