    Hey everyone,

My computer keeps trying to load SE.dll.
My AVG free home virus protection catches it but will not delete it, move it to vault or anything. I gets loaded into the Windows\Temp folder. I can delete then erase it from the recycled bin. Soon after it returns. My Symantic is up to date it doesn't find it. I did find it under search bar in the registry and deleted it. (two or three entries in the reg.)
    Windows 98 OS

    Any thoughts or incantations
At this point i'm willing to sacrafice a  chicken  if i had too.

    Thanks for the reply,
I didn't find any of those keys past the Run\
    or the files.
    Anything else?

Download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature, save it to a folder on your hard drive - not the Desktop, e.g. C:\HJT. Run it and post the log here.

There's a tool for this particular peice of scumware now.

    • Prepare CWShredder:
      • Download the stand-alone CWShredder 2.0 from here. Save it to the desktop. Double click to install.
      • Do not run it yet. We will run it later.
    • Run Symantec's BackDoor Removal Tool:
      • Download the Backdoor.Agent.B Removal Tool from Symantec.
      • Follow Symantec's instructions for how to run it.
      • Be sure to save the log file. I will need to see it later.
      • Restart your computer.
    • Open CWShredder from the new shortcut on the desktop, close ALL other windows and click fix.
    • Restart your computer once more.
    • Post a new HijackThis log and the log Symantec's tool gave you.
