Norton Live Update - not updating

I'm running Windows XP and NIS 2005.
I've had this problem for over a week now.
Whenever I run the Live Update, it comes back and tell me that my all of products and components are up-to-date.

Yet ... when I go to the Symantec Security Response site ... there are always new definitions listed.

Today ... my update came back as up-to-date, yet Symantec shows new "Virus Definitions created March 1 ".

Has anyone else seen this problem ?

But it seems to deal only with actual error messages reported when doing LiveUpdate.

I'm getting no errors ... nothing to indicate a problem.
LiveUpdate comes back and tells me everythings up-to-date ...
It's just not pulling in the latest definitions.

Pete ... I'd checked out that help page at Norton already.
Everything was ok on my end.

Interesting though ... another try at LiveUpdate picked up the latest.
Looks like maybe there's a lag between the time the virus definitions are updated at the site, and when they're actually available for download.

OK ... I finally figured this out.
NIS updating - runs as a background application.
It's in regular contact with the Symantec server and whenever a new definition or update is available, it downloads it automatically.
Which is why when I'd do a Live Update, it was telling me that I was current.

It doesn't always tell you when it's updating ... but I finally caught it in the act.
