I have just got a really nice programme for putting photos on disc, with the option of having music in the background. My problem is that my music is in the wrong format  So - I need a programme to convert it to MP3, WAV or OGG format. Whatever they are!!
Is there a free programme download that I could use. :D
    Thanks for any help.

Thanks, Rich, for taking the trouble to reply.
I have been to the site (CDex). Maybe I am really stupid, but I don't know which one to download. The descriptions are all very technical and none of them say "here's a free download of the basic programme "!!!!!!!
If you can be bothered, could you be a little more specific please? I just want a very, very basic programme as I don't download music. Haven't got Broadband in this backwater of Ireland yet!
    Many thanks again.

Download CDex 1.51 (.exe) from this page: http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/downloads.php. It's an easy to use converter so I think it's what you're looking for. You can use the link in lostincyberspace's post as well, but it's the same version. 1.51 is the latest non-beta (stable) version.

I have to ask, what sort of disk are you burning to? CDR or DVDR?
What makes you think you need mp3, wav, or ogg? (none of these are dvd spec, needed to play in most standalones).

    Thanks to everybody. :) :)
I am now sorted. I ended up downloading dBPowerAMP Music Convertor as it seemed to be simple enough for even me to cope with. I am putting music on a CDR, behind photographs and the programme says that I can only do it in the formats that these programmes allow me to convert to. If you see what I mean.
    Anyway. Many thanks as usual.
