I downloaded an app that states it must be burned to a CD as an ISO image in order for the CD to be bootable.

I have Nero and Roxio and neither seems to give me that option.

    Anyone

OK, I understand that ISO is its format. The extenision of the file, however, is .dos.torrent whatever that means. I tried renaming it without the torrent, just ISO but that idn't work.

This file is a LiveCD file of LINUX that is supposed to boot directly and run LINUX without having to install .

    Rockit:

    I went to:

    http://members.home.nl/lsnoek/iso.htm#Alex

    Looked promising.

Before that, I had previously gotten the error:

"The entered Block size does not corresp[ond to the image length. The block size may be wrong. Do you want to correct the value or ignore the problem? "

I had no information so I ignored it

When I did this, the "Finalize CD" option was grayed out.

This ISO file is not the standard ".iso" It says ".iso.torrent ".

I am going to try another ISO from the frozentech site and see if it ends in .iso and does not present that problem.

Thanks to all for the contributions.

It sounds like you haven't actually downloaded the iso that you are wanting, but are just getting a "tracker" for a program called BitTorrent. So in order to use what you have downloaded you will need to get a BitTorrent client that will allow you to download the actual iso file.

Here are some links for BitTorrent:

    Official Site: http://bittorrent.com/

    FAQs: http://dessent.net/btfaq/

    Hope this helps
    Eric

I agree with ericiga. The file you downloaded is a torrent file. You use it along with BitTorrent to download the actual file.
