I can't send myself e-mails

I was using MSN Premium email with Outlook Express and it was very slow and kept crashing. I read on the MSN site that MSN Premium is not very compatible with OE. I was able to send myself e-mails though.

So I put my Verizon.net account and my Gmail acct. in OE and everything worked great except for one thing. If I send myself an email using OE, it won't show up in the in box in OE but it will show up in the inbox if I go through the e-mail using the web-sites. I tried deleting the accounts and re-entering them in OE and finally my Verizon.net account works fine, but I still can't send myself an e-mail with Gmail using OE. Like I said, if I go to Gmail's web-site to look at my messages, it will be there though.

 

Martini--Are you saying that you can get all GMail email through OE except those you send to yourself? Or can you not get any GMail through OE?
The GMail site has instructions on how to set up the GMail account to permit viewing through OE. In the GMail window, click "Settings" then "Forwarding and POP ".

 

I did follow the "Forwarding and POP" instructions and I am able to get mail from everyone else and I am able to send mail to everyone else; I just can't send mail to myself and have it show up in the in box in OE. It will show up in the sent box and it will show up in the in box when I look at my e-mail through Gmail.com though.

In other words, Gmail works fine for me using OE except I can't send myself messages and receive them in my OE in box. If I send myself a message and BCC the same message to other e-mail accounts, everyone will get the message except for me (I will get the message going through Gmail.com though).
