WordPad won't open old txt.

    Hi All
    A friend of mine has some old word pad documents that Word Pad 6.0 won't open
    He gets this message....
    Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Geri,

    The "Word Viewer 2003" from Microsoft should allow you to open and read the file. This viewer allows you to open documents from all previous versions of Word along with some other common file types if you don't have Microsoft Office. You can download it HERE . (It's *free*) HTH
