    Hello,

I was using remote desktop accessing my work pc from home and i lost the connect. I went into work and found that my computer won't even boot up, power supply? i did notice that my webcam light is on...so somehow power is being provided to the usb ports? Any ideas on troubleshooting would be much appreciated!

    Thank you, John!

The PSU supplies several power sources at different voltages - my guess is that the PSU has failed.

If you have access to a Multimeter or similar you could unplug the power supply from the motherboard and measure the voltages - you would need the mobo manual to show which contacts provide which voltage.

If the power light does not come on when you press the power button and there is no hard drive activity I would be fairly certain that the PSU has failed.

    Hi Pete,

Thank you for you email and your response. I didn't have a voltage meter, so i'm just going to buy another power supply and hope that solves the problem.
    Once again, thank you!!!
