    hi,
i need to find a nonBloated manageable av program for windows 95B and windows 98se.
    problems so far:
    1. one of the windows95b pcs does not have i.e. 5 (and i don't want to instal it) which rules out avg7 and eztrust etc.
    (i use mozilla 1.6 & nn 4.77 and don't use ie)

    2. i installed avg 7 (the free version) onto 2 - both of which are overloaded and i cannot seem to stop automatic features.
(like boot-up scanning; email scanning; etc)
i would like the program to have manual settings (for example: i don't need the autoUpdate feature since i do it myself)
    thank you in advance!

    :)
    hi,
i am NOT advertising for antiVir (or connected) however, it has solved my problems:
i removed avg7 from the 2 (which ran scans and were negative)
i installed antiVir version 6 which found a file on 1 of the pcs called "antinimd.exe" which "contains the signature of w32/nimda.html "!
odd thing is that the same pc had turned up 2 nimda files (in the recycle bin) YEARS ago (with avg 6)
finally, antivir was installable on a win95b pc with ie 4 and it runs well on it.
again i am NOT connected to antivir (except for using it) just thought this info may be helpful...
    sincerely
    Tanya
