Internet explorer 6 locking up

I have internet explorer loaded using win98 SE

Lately it has been freezing whilst in url sites.

When i do a Ctr/Alt/Del to exit out of program it removes all my icons on the task bar at bottom right (internet status icon)I then have to reboot system to get back.Also my active desktop goes white

3 . Try this Free browser , which has a built in pop up stopper . ( don't add , About Blank , to the existing filter list )
Uses very little resources ( No Add's ) & is as good as any other browser .
Intergrates quitely into your system , does not take over . you can still run your normal browser , if you wish .
