Eq settings for Creative Zen Touch

Just bought a Creative Zen Touch and wasn't happy with the EQ presets. There is a custom setting where i am presented with:

100 800 3k 12k Hz
+12

0

-12

db


Under each of the Hz settings there are slider bars that change the db for that frequency. If i wanted to boost the bass, what db do i have to put each freq at?

This was kind of hard to explain so if anyone else can explain better please do.

100 Hz is fairly low-ish bass.
800 Hz is lower mid-range
3 kHz is the presence region
12 kHz is mid-treble.

Oh, and 12 dB is a lot......
