I have a new Radeon 7200 with dual CRT's on WIN XP sp2.
I set one monitor to extended desktop and apply changes.

At this point I have the exact same image in both monitors. I am able to move the mouse off the screen now, but cannot get 2 different images.
It appears as though monitor 1 is showing in both monitors.

I went to "Hardware" and both primary and secondary vid outs are recognized. I've reinstalled and updated drivers with no luck.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance

BTW - In Display 'Settings" when I click on "Identify" a "1" appears on both monitors. It seems that Windows is piping out the monitor 1 view to both monitors.

Check your ATI driver software. I use Matrox, and it's software gives you the option:

    • 2 displays, Stretched mode
    • 2 displays, Clone mode (what you seem to be running)
    • 2 displays, Independent mode

    Thanks,
I've been through that as well with no luck.

Has anyone been successful running 2 monitors with a Radeon 9200?

I've tried using two screens also. At first I thought it would be a great idea. I have a NVIDIA Geforce 4 card and I plugged it into my TV using composite video cables. It looked horrible (320 x 400) , at least you have decent monitors. Just check your display settings and everything should be ok after a little tweaking.
