Is there a way to globally change keyboard shortcuts in Windows. For example if I would like to have CTRL+D as copy instead as CTRL+C. So that it would be changed in every application (globally) that uses CTRL+C as copy.

I know of third party software that can do this but I wwant to be able to set it from Windows. Even if it's some registry hack or something. As long as it is possible on a clean install WinXP install.

I know abou thsi software but it doesn't do exactly what I want. I know of third party software that can do exactly what I want but the catch is to do it on a clean WinXP install, so I can easily enable it if I was on another computer.

I can't find any internal edits through my searches.

Did find this one guide towards creating a "slip streamed" XP install CD.

    Perhaps that would work?

Yeah I know, I've been searching for days with every search engine out there. Nothing. Although that link didn't help my current problem it was informative - bookmarked it.

I'm trying to make this work without a third party app so I could change it on other people's computer's where you can't install software (school, work) because I intent to use a Dvorak keyboard layout but CTRL+C/V/X is splattered all over the keyboard.

I guess I will have to live with it or get a USB flash drive to to carry around that app that switches those keys in case I encounter a PC that doesn't have internet access :)

My head hearts from all the searching, thanks anyway.
