My school network has 20 workstations running w98 and a 2003 server. The workstations sometimes refuse to logon and I have to release/renew ip addresses to get them to logon. This is not always the same workstation. Obviously this is an annoyance and holds up a class while 2/3 pcs have to be sorted. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this to happen? I would appreciate any comments as this is not strictly my field and am trying to slowly learn as much as possible about organising and running a network with very little money for it.

Are you getting any messages? Or just not able to logon?
