    sutsujsti,

You must have Mozilla enabled as your Default browser to accomplish this task. Remind me which Mail Client you use, if you would.

Open Windows Explorer, and click on View | Folder Options | File Types
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol
Is Mozilla shown beside "Opens with:" ?

    Hi Ramona
Mozilla 1.7.5 is my default browser, the email client is the one that comes with mozilla. when I opened windows explorer and went to view, there was not a folders option, I had to go to tools, folder options, file type url:HyperText Transfer Protocol ! there was a red horses head, with (none) in parentheses next to it! was that what you were looking for?

The red horse may, actually,be the Mozilla monster! And, yes, you should only see what you mention, but highlight the line, and select Advanced|Edit and, at last, something useful. I have Firefox as my default browser, and I see this in Application used: C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~2\FIREFOX.EXE -url "%
You should get an idea by what is in the .exe.
You may make change by using Browse to the correct program, but why not work with Edit|Preferences|Navigator?

My Shockwave files are opened, externally, by IrfanView. You cannot and should not expect that everything opens internally.

I finally figured out why I couldn't get one hyperlink to work in my mail! I had to go into preferences, advanced, scripts & plugins, and at the bottom of the page put a check mark in, Enable plug in for mail and newsgroups it was that simple

I had the Mozilla preference in Advanced > Scripts&Plugins for "Enable plugins for Mail & Newsgroups" Unchecked. If I get a link to a file such as: http://www.argosycruises.com/images/argosyintro_final.swf
in a MAIL message, but I don't have a Mozilla browser window open, then I also get a dialog box asking me what to do with the file. If I open a browser window before I click the .swf link in the Mail message, then I don't have that problem.

P.S. At one time it was NOT recommended to enable plugins in MAIL&Newsgroups messages, which is why I might have unchecked that box. See:

I think that you misunderstood what the suggestion was for. Yes, you don't want to enable plugins in Mail and News, but once you click a link in mail, you are sent the browser. In my case, I use Thunderbird as mail client, while Firefox as browser, and they are separate entities. This may not be so obvious in Mozilla, but you are opening a browser page, getting out of mail, aren't you?
