I suddenly can no longer open stored or incoming Outlook Express messages. I get an error message reading "OE could not be started. It may be installed incorrectly. Make sure your disc is not full or that you are out of memory [neither is my situation-Renald]Contact MS support for further assistance (Ox8004010F)." The problem occurs whether I am on line or not.

I am using a Dell Dimension desktop with XP, and Compuserve 2000 as my provider. I recently had to reinstall Windows XP which I did without problems. I also reinstalled MS XP Small Business and Office XP from the discs which came with my PC. Nothing seems to work!

    Help please!

To make sure I'm clear, OE will open but it won't let you open any email?

Since you have Office XP, can you set up Outlook and see if it works OK?

That was indeed my problem: inability to open any e-mail messages (new or stored), despite my attempts to reinstall Outlook. What I apparently should have done, and failed to do, was to first uninstall every trace of the (older?) version I had on my PC before reinstalling the application from the XP disk. That did the trick, apparently, and it now works fine again. Many thanks for your assistance!
