How to avoid outlook express to add the .dat extension to a file sent with no extension?

    Hi dany,
I'm not sure I understand your question? Are you saying that all emails you send out are sending with a file attachment with a .dat extension?
If you are? Time to do a recent and updated virus scan.:(

    Hi,

Not all the attachment, just the file who don't have an extension at all.

Dany, The only way that comes to mind would be to compress the file and send it that way using WinZip, et al, since the dat extension seems to be the preferred default when nothing else is present.
