    Hey folks.. another question

    I want to create a set of Windows XP Restore CD's using Norton Ghost but have been unsuccessful, different error messages arise. Thinking I may not be using the proper version or proper switches. Can someone tell me which version of Ghost I have to use and the proper switch settings.

    Thanks Again;
    Dave

    Ghost does not like NTFS. I think the new version will work with NTFS, but I can't say that for sure.

    As far as I have been able to determine, Ghost won't cut the mustard with XP but either of the following two will handle it nicely. I think the key is getting something that works from a separate boot disk so as to not get into conflict with the OS while it's running.

    Novastor Instant recovery seems good and I plan on getting it. The price is also much less than the PowerQuest item.

    I have talked with others on another BB and know of people who have made "bootable" backup copies of XP to a secondary drive using Novastor Instant recovery.

    Good luck.
