How in the world did I have the icons on the desktop appear with no backround? I had it working before but can't find it again.
    Thanks for your time,,,

    Paul,

Try this... right-click on your desktop, select 'Properties ", then select the 'Desktop' tab. Scroll to the top of the list and select 'None', click 'Apply'.

    Thanks for QUICK response Mr.B.
I 'm sorry for not being clearer. I meant just behind the Icon. So it appears only with the 'Wallpaper' on desktop, not the little color behind the icon .

Okay, try this... right-click 'MyComputer, select the 'Advanced' tab, then select 'Performance -> Settings', then scroll down to 'Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop' and make sure it's checked. Click 'Apply'.
