Modem problems after Update

Hi Folks

A small problem updated grandsons puter today from M.E up to X.P Pro,All working fine except the MODEM i have checked everything i know all seems to be or should i say enabled working but it is not ANY IDEAS PLEASE Tried updating drivers it say best already installed

Try going to the " Devise Manager " Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance , Or double click System.
On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager. Look for Network adapter and expand the pulse sign , Find your modem , right click on it and select uninstall , Afterward restart your computer Windows will when it restart reinstall your modem hardware again , I would give that a try and see as to whether it help

I have restored said computer back to M.E. all working on that O.K. no problem
I think i will leave it at that for a while.
