Opera slowdown

    When I first installed Opera it loaded very quickly from the desktop. I have added some anti-virus, trojan horse and fire wall programs and now the responce time is quite long. Netscape still loads as quick as always. Advice?

    Opera.exe is a packed executable. If your anti-virus program is scanning it on each startup, that may account for the increased startup time. Perhaps you can add opera.exe to an exclusion list...
