    Need help here.
I rebooted Windows XP because i had a corrupted file and it kept freezing on me, nothing i could do. I rebooted with the disk, and can type in the lice code etc.. but at the screen where it asks for confirmation to change the screen resolution , i have to click ok, and the mouse just sits in the middle. I cant even hit enter to say ok.
    Any ideas here....please......HELP!!!

First, try shutting down the computer and unplug the mouse, then plug it back in. If that doesn't work, try using the keyboard. When you have to click enter just press enter on your keyboard. This should get you through if the enter button is active by default. If not, use the tab key to change the focus to the enter button. When you see the button become active, then use the enter key.

Is this a USB mouse or PS2?

Hey all: I had this kind of mouse problem using an optical mouse. Dug out an old ball in the bottom PS2 mouse, worked through the install, afterwards, optical mouse worked fine.
