I have Dimension 8400 ,Window XP MCE 2005 ,Sound card; Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS Platinum and ATI Radeon X800SE. When I'm removing the Creative MediaSource program
in "Add or Remove programs ", the Folowing message cover The
InstallShield Wizard: "An installation support file could not be
Installed. The system Cannot find the file specified." When i downloading
the program the message ,just when restarting computer, shows up: "The
Installation support File could not be Install. " When i try to open the
MediaSource player error report come up: The following files will be included in
    this error report: C:\DOCUME~1\BEDAST~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\d4ddc_appcompat.txt
The bottom line is I , cannot remove the program . Any help? The
Crea...Tech support suggest ( new) clean install of windows. I did run
repairs on windows that did not help. I don't like it. Thanks Beda

More usual than the OS reload you mentioned is to do an install of the problem app. That will often fix things up so you can then remove it cleanly.

What sort of problems is the app causing you?
