USB Connection Interrupted and lost

    It looks like the final answer for my problem is to get a IEEE device for the DVD making and just keep the USB2 for backups and such.

    "Firewire is faster, more stable and less CPU-dependent than USB 2.0. It's perfect for storage duty. "

    I thought however that USB 2.0 transfers 480Mbs and Firewire 400MBS.

    Solution: I purchased a 200GB Maxtor one touch Firewire ext HDD and that solved all problems. Hope this can help others as well. Thanks.

    same problem using usb hard driver

    I have the same problem as everyone has. I brought a External Enclosure and a put a 200gb hard drive in it. I have no problem at all, until i turn off the external enclosure's power without safty unplug. Now i get that message from that day on.

    Windows - Delayed Write Failed
    Windows was unable to save all teh data for the file \Device\HarddiskVolume21\$Mft. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

    what's gong on i only this once why it keep poping up, even if i don't use it.
    I could use the harddrive fine, but later it pop that message again. When that message pop the drive disappear and reappear. Anyone have any idea to fix it? I did everything i know. Please help. Thank you
