For over a week we, and the rest of the family, have been swamped with Klez. It says it's from various family members but I have managed to chase it back to the real source. Norton catches it so that is really just a bother more than a threat but...Last night we got one call "Klez removal tool" that Norton didn't react to. I suspect it's a mutation of Klez since it "says" it came from one family member but the "return path" is from the infected computer instead.

My question is has anyone else run into this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Brenda J
Yes, I've recieved one that said it was the fixtool, and yet it was actually the virus. But Norton's did pick it up for me.
I just sent a link to Symantec's Fixtool to everyone in my address book. Though most days it feels like an uphill battle!

Daizy, thanks for your quick reply! I suspected it was the virus but we have just gotten a new computer and I made the mistake of checking email before I updated Norton! I won't make that mistake again! Luckily I had updated Windows so I had the patch for the "hole" that allows it to run without being opened and just to be safe I ran GoBack to revert to just before I checked the email. It made for a late night but was worth it!

A family member that lives the closest to my uncle with the infected system is on his way there to try to repair the damage and stop this "family mess ". What a relief that will be!

Thanks agisn for the quick responce! Brenda
