Windows update problems with windows XP SP2

    Since weeks now, when I want to download updates from the Windows update site, I receive the following message "error code 80072F78" which prevent updates from being downloaded. I saw this problem referenced on various newsgroups but unfortunatly since, I have been totally unable to solve this problem. Does somebody knows a workaround to this embarrassing problem which prevent us from being protected from new security wholes !!!

    I suggest checking the firewall first.
    MS offers free phone service for security issues (like not being able to download) related to Windows Update. From memory the number is 1-866-PCSAFETY
