I read a few posts about people losing email. My subfolders and 100s of email that were saved in them are now gone. I have used this email program for years, starting out with Communicator 4 and upgrading along the way. Across the top of my Inbox it says Netscape 7.0, but when I check on the version of the browser (Help/About Netscape), it says Version 7.01. Is this the same thing? Anyway, I have a lot of business items in these folders. What are the chances of retrieving all of this email? By the way, Norton did happen to perform a system scan in the early hours of the morning, but email was working fine for awhile after that. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Welcome to the Forum, julyne!

    julyne,

A few questions in order to get as much information as possible:

Did your system freeze, or did you do a system restore?
What happened that caused you to lose your mail?
Do you have a recent backup of your Profile, if so you can restore your Mail.

Have you look in your Mail Account folder and confirmed that your Mail is gone?
Look here for your Profiles Folder Location

If Help/About Netscape says 7.01, then that is the Version you are using. You can also see the Version number in the Properties of the Netscp.exe file, located in C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape.

Take a look at this page: Lost Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings "¢â€¢ Profile
