booting up

    I recently had a problem with my dvd rom drive on my laptop i have a toshiba satatlite . The problem i have is i tried to re-install windows but then relized the problem and fixed the pc now every time i restart my machine it goes into a boot mode to reload the OS can i just change the boot by pressing f9 b4 the boot-up stage and change the first boot option to the hard drive will that solve it ? :confused:

    Maybe. But it sorta sounds like you may have gotten far enough along with your OS reinstall that you don't have a valid OS for the PC to load.

    More details about exactly what you did would help.
