The copy function in my browser is not working. Even Ctrl C doesn't do it. I can't understand. It worked last night. I have 98SE and no disk. What could be the problewm?

First thought is IE's security setting. If set to high drag drop copy paste are disabled.

Second thought is, "the option is available if you have highlighted those portions you wish to copy ".

As a side note and in light of your recent notepad problem what do you have set on the "Programs tab" (again IE's options) as the default html editor?

Notepad. Actually it's Metapad: http://www.liquidninja.com/metapad/. (How that worked I don't know; I promise you it hasn't). I've got Notepad renamed to notepadX as per the instructions in the FAQ. Did I mention that cut and paste work?

Has your computer been restarted since last night? 98 is not too good for running days on end at times.

A simple repair is all it may need. Go to Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information. When that opens, go to the toobar at Tools, then select the Internet Explorer Repair Tool.
Click the option to Repair, reboot when prompted.

KingG--Based on your first post, I would have said that clipbrd.exe (Clipboard) is corrupt and should be replaced, using System File Checker.

    But then you said that
so maybe the Clipboard is not the problem. However, it would not hurt to restore it.
