I just bought a digital camcorder, and have not been able to successfully capture video yet. The video comes through the computer fine, but I have not been able to get the audio to come through as well. I have the firewire cable connected into the port, and turn the camera on in my capture program (ULead VideoStudio), but the audio does not come through my computer's speakers. There is audio on the video because during playback my camcorder has sound. I've tried changing a bunch of different things and still can't get any audio input. I tried my analog camcorder too to make sure the firewire cable wasn't faulty, but I don't get any audio coming from it either so I assume I have a setting or setup wrong somewhere. It used to work, but now it doesn't so I wonder if I changed something without knowing it in the setup. Can anyone give me some different things to try that may be causing this problem?

    Hello,

The first thing you should do is to set up your sound record in your system:
    - double click the speaker icon in task tray
    - Options > Properties > Recording
    - check Line In, Aux, Recording Control
    - press OK
    - check Line In and Aux, uncheck the rest of them and minimize the the Recording Control panel.

Now you can try again your sound captation with Ulead or any other capture program.

Please let us posted. Good luck.

    Stefan
