Just got a new motherboard this weekend, the MSI K8N Neo 2 platinum with Athlon 64 3500+ processor, and all is cool until I tried to install my USB adsl modem(GVC Model BB0039). After connecting the modem and loading the drivers it will not work. With the USB drivers loaded it now hangs on shutdown. My question is this...is it a driver problem and why? I mean aren't all drivers for USB stuff universal? Anyways for the moment I installed my dial up modem but need to get on line with the adsl one. Thanks

That could be your problem. A lot of USB devices require loading drivers before being connected.

    ;)

edit: - Chuck, I think Junior has the same problem going on the XP forum - can we assume you two are still on speaking terms?
