Registry damaged. PC very slow

    My Registry got damaged. The PC is now extremely slow. I have tried to boot up in safe mode, last know good configuration , but did not help. Anything else i can do please ???

    If your registry was damaged, i would expect you to be receiving blue screens, bugchecks and not be able to get into the machine at all.
    Please elaborate on what happened, how you detected it, and define slow in quantifiable terms.

    Hello jossvw,

    You're going to have to repair the istallation if you can't do a System Restore. Have you tried that?

    have tried to boot up in safe mode, last know good configuration , but did not help.
    That's usually done if the system won't come up in normal mode, but you write "pc very slow" which sounds like you can run in normal mode, so did you try SR and restoring the system prior to the problem?

    Type System Restore into Help and Support's search box, it'll tell you where it is and how to operate it.
