Under Tols > Options check how many days is set to keep pages in History - if set at 0 your drop down list will be empty.

BTW - Only typed URL's are retained here, not those connected to by clicking a link. These are retained through Autocomplete - Tools > Internet Options > Content > Autocomplete.

I know all that. Problem just started yesterday after a download from microsoft. I went back a couple days with the restore function and all is okay. Am going to attempt to do the download again and see what happens.

    Thanks

Be grateful that System Restore worked for you :) Many folk on the Board have experienced problems in this area.

I've not seen any other posts relating to side effects from the latest IE/OE patches - maybe time will tell!

Anyway glad to hear that you are back to square 1.

actually when i've had to use on clients machine i have gotten pretty lucky. most times its been a life saver for the client. times i've had problems is when clients machines were infected by spywares. amazing little things these spyware programs. all machine i configure get spybot, ad-ware, spywareblaster and yahoo popup stopper with its anti-spy function. for free-bies they are great and leave no garbage from what ive seen.
