    Anybody ever overclock your mouse?
Does it do anything or just a hoax?

    Thanks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------Sample Rate changes how often Windows 2000 determines the position of your mouse. If you want to increase the resolution of your mouse or increase the speed at which your mouse is tracked, you should increase this value.

Wheel Detection changes how Windows 2000 detects and enables the wheel on your mouse.

First look at 'mouse' in device manager; you probably have all those functions available already, I do.

    Sparrow,
I've maxed the settings in device manager out but this is supposed to allow you to double that .. something like the max in device manager is 200ms and this tweak lets you go up to 1000ms but the author claims anything passed 500ms is overkill. I haven't noticed anything but do have problems once in awhile with my wireless rodent and was just wondering if this might help out. Looks like you have to boot into safe mode to apply the tweak. I just haven't tried it yet and was fishing for anyone that has and what they thought.

    Thanks
    Rockit
