Zone Alarm don't detect?

    I have zone alarm pro and avg anti-virus,the question is why does zone alarm detect avg in the anti-virus monitoring.

    when i go to zone alarm control panel and go to the anti-virus monitoring suite,up under where it says protection... it has there is no antivirus running on your computer that zone labs can detect.make sure you are running antivirus software.

    Hello candielicker,

    AVG or your version may not be recognized by ZA - that kind of recognition has to be predetermined by Zone Labs or AVG doesn't have a recognition code that ZA recognizes. It doesn't mean your AV isn't working.

    In like manner, AV's had to update their software in order for XP's SP2 Security Center to recognize them.

    Zone Alarm Pro is just making sure your computer is secure, if you did not have an anti virus program installed, Zone Alarm Pro would notify you. ;)
