I've been converting old home videos to video cds, which, by the way, is a blast to do, especially seeing those really old videos when the kids were little. I bought a capture device, AverMedia EZMaker USB 2.0, to do this. It uses a program called MedioStream neoDVD. It has worked very well, but I have experienced one minor glitch. The capture device connects to the computer through a USB port on the back of the computer. The audio cable connects to the Line In port. I leave this connected when it's not in use. The problem is when I go to use this the next time, the program doesn't "see" the USB connection. I have to crawl under my desk, disconnect it from the USB port, then plug it back in. While it's not really a big deal, it's kind of inconvenient. Can anyone think why this glitch exists?
    As usual, thanks in advance.

If you were to look in the Device Manager, do you have a USB 2.0 Hub listed?

This is going to sound strange to you, but the following quote came from this link.
It is apparently working for you anyway, and maybe explains the glitch.

The neoDVD program came bundled with the AverMedia EZMaker USB 2.0. Also, I just checked to see what version of neoDVD I have, and it appears to be an earlier version than 6.0. I did this by opening the program, clicking on the question mark, then on "about neoDVD ", it said, neoDVD Standard Version: 4,5,1,519 L0001.
